Locations right on the lake with private beach and close to a lot of other stores. Restaurants, the setup is really nice. Except all the bathrooms are on the 1st floor and there's 3 floors. The second is the living room and kitchen. The third is a main lock bed. There were 2 restrooms on the 1st floor other than that. It was great for kids and a very comfortable not need anything situation
We stayed here for two nights, and on the second (last) night, We noticed a horrible smell coming from behind the fridge. It smelled like rotten meat or a dead rat—so bad that we couldn’t even stay in the kitchen. I reported it to the front desk, and someone came to check, but they couldn’t find the source. Instead of fixing it, they just sprayed air freshener, which made it even worse—the mix of the rotten smell and the spray was unbearable. No one followed up, offered to change our room, send housekeeping, or even try to clean. We were exhausted, stuck in a smelly room, and the only thing we could do was cover the fridge with a garbage bag ourselves. The management only tried to contact us after we had already checked out—far too late to help. Really disappointed with how this was handled.
Been coming here 50 years and the sadly I probably will have to find another place to stay. There is no more hospitality ( fresh towels, ) The unit was dirty, opened drawers to dirty silverware, dishwasher didn’t work properly, door lock on back door wouldn’t lock even after they came and replaced it. They no longer offer shuttle service. The unit was old and dated. Beds and and furniture have well outlived the lifespan. Pathways and parking lots have been replaced and repaired nicely and it is a great location, but that’s the only positive I can say. You are better off with an Air Bnb sadly. Management clearly is putting profits above hospitality.
