Swissotel Chicago

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Swissotel. The lake and Navy Pier view from our room was spectacular. The room was extremely nice. Great beds. Awesome bath with tub and shower. Very clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Chicago!

The hotel could not have been more amazing, accommodating, everyone there was so nice, the hotel was so clean and such a great spot, absolutely made our trip especially Lydia at reception- not only was she absolutely fantastic, patient, and understanding checking us in and making sure we were comfortable, but was so kind and friendly to us the whole trip and checking in on us. Her (and everyone at the hotel's) over and above service was just so lovely and made our family feel so welcome and taken care of, one of our best experiences ever!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and used my Platinum status to redeem two suite upgrades. While I appreciated the gesture, I have to say the overall experience was underwhelming. The hotel feels a bit dated and lacks the premium touch you’d expect at this price point. For me, room size isn’t everything – what truly matters is the quality of the furnishings and the level of service. Unfortunately, both were below expectations. For example, there was no one available to help with luggage upon arrival, which is something I would at least expect in a hotel charging over $1,600 for two nights. On top of that, everything is extremely overpriced – from a single bottle of water to breakfast. It makes you seriously question what exactly you’re paying for. In my opinion, the overall value just isn’t there. As much as I wanted to enjoy the stay, this hotel is simply not an option I would consider again.
