Swissotel Quito

Had a great time at the hotel bar. The atmosphere was relaxed but still felt upscale, and the drinks were spot on. Big shoutout to Recardo he was super friendly, quick, and honestly made the whole experience even better. Definitely the kind of service that makes you want to come back.

I am really loving my stay at the Swissôtel! I had a 3am arrival and the team accommodated that via email weeks in advance. The reception staff can’t do enough to help and the room is spacious and spotless. I came back from a day out and the room cleaning had even moved my suitcase off the floor and onto a stand - small touches like that make all the difference. Gracias

This is a great hotel with friendly staff and good food, but the rooms are a little lackluster. Check in was simple, especially given we arrived at the hotel a little past 1am. The location is good, but getting to the hotel is a challenge given that you need to go on several roads which are crowded most of the time. Other than that, the hotel is close to many restaurants and if you don’t want to walk, has a good Japanese restaurants. In terms of the room, the beds are hard as sleeping on a block of wood, to the point where we asked for mattress toppers. The AC also didn’t work at all in one of the rooms and worked poorly in the other which is an issue because you need to ask for anything other than a comforter. Overall, it’s a good hotel, but the rooms leave something to be desired, especially considering how important sleep is if you plan to hike Cotopaxi or do other similar activities.
