Nice 5 star hotel, very central location, at the heart of Shenyang.
1. Location: 10 points (next to the Youth Park TV Tower and the subway entrance) 2. Workspace Design: 6 points (the public areas are dull, and the building's exterior is far less impressive than in the photos) 3. Service: 7 points (2 points for the friendly service from the hostess on the 21st floor, otherwise it's just a 5. Other highlights are barely acceptable. For example, there was no one to greet me at the entrance. I checked in early and stored my luggage, but I didn't get my room card until the afternoon. My luggage wasn't even in my room. No one at the front desk explained how to charge the mini-bar in the room. The executive program only briefly mentioned a restaurant on the first floor from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Happy hour was available, with snacks and beer provided, but it wasn't specified whether it was a set menu or buffet. 4. Recreational Facilities: 6 (The pool was old, non-circulating, and lacked a lifeguard. This poses a significant safety hazard. I recommend the hotel address this promptly.) 5. Suite Upgrade: 10 (I emailed ahead of time and was given a suite upgrade with simple furnishings.) 6. Room Comfort: 9 (The suite was open and spacious, with a view of a construction site. I didn't dare draw the curtains because workers were working on a high-rise building next door, and I felt like I could see them.) 7. Cleanliness: 10 (No hygiene issues.) (Question) 8. Executive Benefits: 7 points (There was no information about afternoon tea. Happy hour was a German set menu per person, including a salad, soup, a few pieces of fried chicken, a German sausage and alkaline bread platter, and a piece of cake, with free-flowing Prana craft beer. This would have been a 10, but three points were very unpleasant. First, the lack of price information led to the restaurant reception being flustered and not explaining exactly what was included, which was awkward for us (1 point deduction). This restaurant can be charged to the room, but it doesn't count towards consumption points (1 point deduction). We were told the restaurant was outsourced only after check-out, so 1 point deduction. What I'm trying to say is... The service clearly exceeded expectations, but this one detail left me feeling unhappy ;) 9. Breakfast: 8 points (Good service and good food, but the selection is limited, and the restaurant lacks a view.) 10. Value for money: 6 points (Booking a basic room through Accor, the typical weekend rate without breakfast during the summer is between 610-800 including tax. Considering that a suite with breakfast for two at this hotel is only 750 per night on Douyin, the upgrade is quite generous. In fact, if possible, I would prefer an upgrade to a room with a better view. This was also a mistake on my part, so I don't blame the hotel.)
