Swissôtel Zürich

Almost a perfect 10 for me. The hotel is up there with the best in Switzerland, and the location is very convenient. Staff are very courteous and professional. The lobby area is smart and clean, lifts are amazingly quick, and my room was a superior on the 20th floor and very quiet. Walls and floors are solid, doors close smoothly too. The rooms are spacious, with large windows, good curtains, large TVs, tea/coffee, mini bar, slippers and a nice rain shower. Breakfast is simply incredible, it's up there with the best. So much to choose from, and an omelette bar too. Wifi also very fast. And the icing on the cake is that rooftop pool & hot tub with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. It was wonderful! My only issue was the bed, which has a memory foam mattress and was too firm for my aching back. I asked for help to soften it, and a quilt was placed on top. However, it didn't really provide a softer bed. It's a real shame, because this would otherwise become my top recommended hotel the whole of Switzerland after 45 visits touring the entire country.

I was there on a last minute booking as my flight back got cancelled. What a blessing! I had a great dinner and made it to the spa for a quick run with a view at the gym and a chill at the sauna. The room was very comfortable too. The market around the corner is so lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel with a good location, right next to a train station that can be reached quickly. The staff at the reception are very friendly and competent. Our highlight was the pool and jacuzzi on the 32nd floor with a great view. The rooms are clean, but rather small and no longer up-to-date. For this price I don't think that's appropriate.
