This hotel is very central, and yet the city life allow for good sleep. We did not eat at the hotel, really many good restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel has not been upgraded in a while. If you look for fancy rooms, look elsewhere. If you need a central place to sleep, this is a good option. Really friendly staff, that is truly service minded. Bonus: roof pool (not heated), and hot tub at rooftop. Magic view day and night!

I think some other reviews are spot on This place could be exceptional with a little tender care and upgrades..The stay was nice. I love the roof top. Nothing sticks out to make it really shine though and 5 stars yet. Staff was professional and polite. The location was perfect for me. And...the history of the Rocks is super interesting!

We stayed at this hotel with our family during the week and the location is absolutely incredible! The views of Circular Quay, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are breathtaking and definitely the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in desperate need of an upgrade. The lighting throughout is very dim and gives off an old 60s feel. Brighter, more modern lighting alone would bring the place to life. Our TV didn’t work, the bath and shower had visible mould build-up, and there were holes in the walls and ceiling. The pull-out bed was made up but dipped heavily in the middle, so we ended up putting the mattress on the floor instead. The carpets and surfaces were quite dusty, though I will say the sheets were clean and the main bed was comfortable. The phone in the room didn’t work either, so we had to call the main hotel line from our mobile just to reach reception. Overall, the location and views are amazing, but the hotel really needs proper maintenance, staff in an actual uniform and modernising to meet the standard you’d expect for the area. With a good refresh, they could easily justify even higher rates because the setting is truly unbeatable.
