The staff here are genuinely incredible. They will go out of their way for you as much as they can. I have never met kinder staff at a hotel, but Marriott is known for their hospitality and kindness. The rooms are pretty average considering the price of the hotel. The beds are comfortable but the rooms themselves are small and outdated. Even the hallways, walls, and decor seem outdated and in need of renovation. The walls are also quite thin and I could hear people in the hallways and in the rooms next to us if they were not being quiet, which again for the price is a bit annoying. All things considered, everything else about my stay was phenomenal! Room service is fast, surprisingly delicious, and not incredibly overpriced. The restaurant downstairs is also great and was always filled with people which goes to show how nice it was. The staff continued to go above and beyond throughout my entire stay, even gifting me wine for my birthday, changing my room to a view of the harbour, and delivering extra amenities when we ran out. The location is amazing, the staff are unbeatable, and the view is so nice! Thank you Marriott !
This hotel offered a comfortable and convenient stay. While it wasn't the absolute best I've experienced, I genuinely enjoyed my time here. The location is ideal, with easy access to light rail and ferries, making exploring the area simple. The customer service was outstanding, especially the valet team—they were efficient and friendly. I appreciated how smoothly everything went; I dropped off my car, checked in, and we headed to Circular Quay for lunch, only to find our bags waiting in the room when we returned. This was our second visit, and I’m sure I’ll return again soon. My only minor disappointment was the construction next door, which blocked part of the view, and even with an upgrade, the view was only partial. Nonetheless, I look forward to staying here again.
The best part about the hotel is its location. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff who gave us complimentary drinks and Tim Tams. I had high expectations for our stay. Our room was disappointing considering the price ($1599 for three nights). The beds and linen were clean. The carpet looked a bit grotty. The bathroom was basic and dated. The vanity had been replaced but the tiles in the shower looked mid-70s/early 80s. I wasn't impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom. There were hairs on the bathroom door (not mine). The bar fridge was empty. Housekeeping did not come the entire three days we were there. Admittedly we did have the "do not disturb" sign up a couple of times but we were out for hours each day and there were plenty of opportunities for the room to be cleaned. By the last day we ran out of toilet paper and the bins were overflowing. I rang reception twice and it took the staff about an hour to bring us more supplies. We ordered room service on our final night and it was exceptional. It was probably the best steak I've ever eaten. I had a great holiday but I wouldn't return to this hotel.
