What a great place to stay ! Five rooms and looked after by attentive staff right in the heart of Tavira. Nice private roof terrace and possibly the largest bed known to man. If you want a peaceful place to stay in the Algarve, the Sao Paulo should be on your list.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough - gorgeous, thoughtfully designed, incredible breakfast spread. A MUST STAY if visiting Tavira - convenient location, friendly staff. We loved our time here and will definitely be back!

The staff went above and beyond—exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. The morning breakfast was amazing, offering a delicious variety of fresh, high-quality options in a quaint, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better; it’s perfectly situated within walking distance to fantastic restaurants, unique shops, and, of course, the scenic river walk. Additionally, it offers easy access to public transport, including bus, train, and ferry stations, making both local and long-distance travel a breeze. A true standout in every way!
