Sé Boutique Hotel

As a solo lady on her first visit to Madeira choosing the SE Boutique Hotel was an excellent choice as it was very central to everything. The room was spacious with a large shower and toilet area the hand basin was in the bedroom part but it wasn’t a problem, my window opened internally into the hotel but the way the building was built it let in lots of air. I found all the staff very friendly and helpful and the amount of choice at breakfast in the green room was amazing. I loved the decor and the rooftop bar was just something else with the most fantastic views of Funchal. The evening meals were the best I’ve had on a holiday and the waiters were very attentive to everyone’s needs. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for something out of the ordinary as it is one step beyond the run of the mill ones.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The staff are so friendly and really go above and beyond to provide excellent service and hospitality. The breakfast was delicious. The decor is absolutely beautiful and the rooftop bar was a very special bonus. The beds were very comfortable also, everything was clean and quiet. The location was also amazing, a short walk to a ton of restaurants and attractions, transit and the ocean. Would highly recommend!

We had a nice stay. The highlight was the staff, very friendly and helpful, whether at reception, breakfast lounge or at the rooftop bar. Breakfast buffet was tasty and we also had dinner on the rooftop which was really nice. The other communal areas don’t get used much though, despite how pretty they are. The room air con was noisy. It would have been nice to have an actual table and chairs than a desk, which nobody will use when on holiday. Good amenities though and overall enjoyed my stay.
