Söderfors Herrgård

Lovely place to stay in an historic location. The owners have loving restored Söderfors Herrgård and are breathing new life into this wonderful place. Magical saunas on the river 🙏

Environment was spiritually charged. Owner and their staff were very humble and smiling. Whole atmosphere was calm, serene and beautiful. Will love to come again and again. There canot be better location than this one

The place and the location are stunning. The sauna is wonderful and swimming off the pier really great. The restaurant and bar however… The service was chaotic. Appears as though nobody is in charge and the young waiting staff seem insufficiently trained. The food (once it arrived) was enjoyable. We specifically asked for the starter for one person and the mains for the rest of the party to come at the same time. Half an hour later the starter arrived with no cutlery. And even on request, we didn’t get them so had to go up to get them ourselves. We had three children in the party and another 30 mins later their dishes arrived. The other dishes arrived a while after. In the mean time we were provided French fries that had gone cold so had obviously sat somewhere in the kitchen counter. We ordered drinks at the start and they never arrived so we had to go to actually stand at the bar to wait and watch them being prepared. It’s a real shame as the place has so much potential.
