I have looked through other reviews prior to coming and got extremely confused when upon arrival, everything is pretty much perfect. I have grown up in a family run hotel so I have very high standards. The food is fantastic (we’ve had breakfast only but everything is top tier). The sunbeds are not cheapy ones that fall apart and are actually comfortable- they also have a strict “no hold for 1 hour” so people can’t put towels down without them being removed after 1 hour if not used. The pool bar is fantastic - the cocktails and beer are really nice. The common areas are clean, bright and airy. Rooms- great spacious balcony, the beds are so so comfortable. Me and a friend were sharing a double but it’s so large you wouldn’t know. The only thing about the rooms my friends wanted was to have a kettle but that’s honestly not something we needed in my opinion. The room had a fridge, handy for storing water and snacks. The bathroom was simple and clean. I love the staff uniforms!! Staff are polite and courteous. Pool entertainment amusing. Pools seem well looked after. In generals everything was very well kept and I would absolutely recommend, and also return.
Let’s be realistic — the hotel only stands out for its location and evening activities, and it exploits guests because of that location! They have a very inconvenient system: if you want any of these services — pool towels, an electric iron, the safe, or a table tennis ball — you must go to the reception and pay either a service fee or a deposit! For your information, I stayed for four days and couldn’t get an electric iron at all! And again, for any service, you have to go to the reception to pay for it!! This system keeps the reception constantly crowded and slow.
Hotel wasn’t terrible but I don’t think it’s good enough to class as a 4 star hotel. There’s a lot of rooms but quite a small dining area considering. They also offer ‘halal’ food options but it appeared that not all the food that was labelled halal was actually halal. The food they did have was quite boring and repetitive. The location was not bad. The beach was decent but has fine stones in the sand so is quite rough to walk barefoot. There were also a swarm of really small insects that climbed on you if you sat directly on the sand (was not nice). Overall wasn’t a horrible stay but would have preferred to know it was more of a 3 star hotel before booking.
