I was incredibly excited about my much-awaited annual vacation to the Maldives and Taj Coral Reef made it all the more special and memorable from the moment we arrived. Arrival & Check-In: Our experience began with a warm welcome at the airport where we were greeted with name signage, followed by a comfortable one-hour speedboat transfer. What truly stood out was the in-villa check-in, a seamless and luxurious start to our stay. We had booked a Water Villa for 4 nights and the view of the Indian Ocean was simply breathtaking. The personalized welcome message and bed décor from Taj added a lovely, thoughtful touch. Accommodation & Service: Our villa was stocked with a well-maintained mini bar and snacks. The turn-down service was always on time and the staff made sure our villa was spotless and welcoming throughout our stay. The villa itself was spacious, beautifully designed and gave us the perfect setting to relax and soak in the calm, peaceful vibe of the Maldives. Dining: We had an incredible culinary journey across the resort's three restaurants - Bokkura, Open Grill and Reef Bar. Each offered a variety of cuisines including Indian, Asian, Local Maldivian, European, Mediterranean, Mexican and Italian. From lavish breakfast spreads to indulgent lunches and dinners, we truly ate and drank to our heart’s content. The resort offers premium alcohol options – beers, wines, whiskey and the staff were always ready with recommendations. Activities & Spa: We enjoyed snorkeling sessions, dolphin cruise and the Male city tour. I also had the pleasure of visiting the Spa, where I was treated by Dipa, who previously served at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. She was outstanding! Truly one of the best spa treatments I've ever had. A special thanks to Durlav, the Spa Manager, for being so warm and going beyond his role to help us plan our itinerary with great suggestions. Staff & Hospitality: The people at Taj Coral Reef made our stay unforgettable. A few names that stood out: Abigail, Imali, and Reehan - who greeted us daily and went above and beyond to offer the best food and drink recommendations. Abigail’s service in particular was exceptional. Zaki (Front Office) - who welcomed us with an in-room check-in and gave us a great overview of the resort and activities. Tariq (Restaurant Manager) - who frequently checked in with us during our meals and ensured we had a great experience. Mr. Nitin Walia (Resort Manager) – who personally stopped by to greet us, which was a lovely gesture and truly appreciated. Their warm and interactive approach made us feel completely at home. Every single team member we interacted with was courteous, thoughtful and professional. Final Thoughts: From the airport pickup to the in-villa service, exceptional dining, top-notch spa and warm, attentive staff, Taj Coral Reef Maldives offered us one of the finest hospitality experiences we've ever had. Me and my partner we were on our honeymoon trip. Had a great experience living in this beautiful island with great service, amazing warm welcome and high class hospitality from all the staff members. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, greeting us with warm big smiles and a nice complimentary drink upon check in. The accommodation was nothing short of luxurious. Room was spacious, elegantly decorated for our honeymoon celebration and equipped with all the high tech modern techs. Had a best experience of beach side dinner with all inclusive drink packages. Overall, our stay at Taaj Coral Reef exceeded all the expectations.
