Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa Gangtok

The stay experience at Taj Guras Kutir was great. The hospitality was exemplary. The food was delicious. The breathtaking view from our room were the mountain peaks of Kanchejunga. Two things, I would like you to note: - The location... It's a little away from Gangtok city (maybe 25 minutes), and there are no markets nearby, so you need a vehicle and would need to travel at least till Bhojogari market, if you want snacks, medicines etc. - The elevators...they are unusually small and can accommodate only 3 people (4 feels stuffy) in there, without luggage. Not sure, what's the logic behind it but found it strange. Having said that, my stay there was awesome!

Outstanding resort!! The views from the rooms are breath-taking. The front-desk team is extremely helpful and caters to all requests efficiently. It's located on an awesome height which makes the views from the restaurants and the rooms even more spectacular. The food was good throughout my stay. The breakfast spread was superb as well! The only hiccup was the room flooring. I stayed in the luxury suite and found that the wooden flooring was extremely slippery. It caused a minor accident and we brought it out to the management. While the staff was courteous enough to ask about the wellbeing of the family members, the problem still remained. However, despite this our stay was outstanding. The staff always went above and beyond to see that our requests were catered to. The manager, Mr. Ghosh, is an extremely warm person to talk to and suggested a superb itinerary for places to visit during our stay.

This property is truly a beautiful place and my stay for 2 nights at this place was amazing. The location , the surroundings and the entire environment was incredible. And as the heritage of “Taj” goes , the rooms, the restaurants, the banquet where the meeting happened and every corner was awesome. The spa “J Wellness” was just awesome and I would like to thank “Dolma” the therapist who was not only proficient but her courteous behaviour stole my heart . I would like to praise each and every staff member whose smiles and caring service made the stay special . Thank you for making us feel special
