Taj Kumarakom Resort and Spa Kerala

I have been to so many Taj across the country but this Taj, Kumarakom has my heart ❤️ We stayed for 3 days and the experience was sooooo good. The staff treated us like VVIPs everytime we had a small request. Ajay is such a fun person, always smiling and doing card tricks, Thank you Chef Subin, Abin and Niranj for planning the entire birthday dinner as per my recommendations and suggestions. Best experience of my life. They would make sure that we are happy and smiling 😌 loved it. Will come again here with my parents soon

We stayed at this lovely gem of a property for a night in June and did not want to leave (haha). The resort is beautifully designed around a mini lake, is lush green, fantastically well maintained and with amazing food and drinks that are reasonably priced for a marvellous venue like this. Starting from the welcome drink and the traditional coconut garland to the farewell ceremony (See pic), everything is tastefully done and you feel like you are the only guest they have. Thank You Taj and Mr.Vinpugal Dasarat (General Manager) for your personal touch. We are returning soon with our friends!! My favorites on this stay were the onion pakora (high tea), filter coffee (bkfast), Chicken curry (dinner) and the many birds I saw that evaded us at Kumarakom bird sanctuary. Since the sanctuary is right next door, seems even the birds love being at the Taj!..............................

Booked a stay for 2N3D for a family holiday. We were 10+ people. We were checked in smoothly, welcomed with coconut water and palm leaf garlands. The rooms were spacious and each room had fruits and some desserts for a nice welcome. This was where the good part ended. We went for lunch and ordered from the menu.It took almost an hour for the food to arrive and it was not that great even! We were so disappointed and really let down by the super slow service. All the other dinner & lunch services were the same....slow! I had booked this trip for my dad's birthday. Because I spoke with the resort manager, the chef met me and that dinner we got the entrees served promptly but again the main course took forever. The tea time with nibbles was great and the dance performances were a nice touch too. Overall we had an average stay and as this was our first time in a Taj property we had high expectations which were not met. We were looking forward to the "Taj experience" but were disappointed. I would think twice before booking this property.
