Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

Great place to stay. Cottages are really good. The staff are very friendly. It's not a good time to visit in July. It rains heavily and the hill was covered fully with fog. Not able to take a resort trip due to fog and rain. Otherwise the resort is really good. Food is okay, not that great. If you are a newly brewed driver be careful, there are almost 45 degree uphills. It's better to hire an experienced driver to drive to the resort. Check in is 2 pm and checkout is 12 pm. They have buggy to drive us to the restaurant and other places in the resort. No problem with commuting in resort. There are leaches, be careful and carry necessary first aid.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Taj Coorg, and a big part of that experience was thanks to Peter. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for in every way. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and ever-smiling presence made our stay extra special. What stood out even more was his kindness after our stay when we forgot our coffee, Peter personally stepped in and ensured it was dispatched to us without any hassle. That kind of thoughtfulness and follow-through is rare and truly appreciated. Thank you, Peter, for going above and beyond. You made our visit memorable in every sense.

It was one the best resort i have been in especially the food in there and the hospitality is on another level. The chef personally greeted us when we were having breakfast and my god how joyful was the conversation and that night he prepared the best food i have ever had in my life and when i say this i truly mean it, it’s by no means any exaggeration. The staff is also quite nice as one of the member suggested a drink for my family member who had a slight cold and irritation in throat and prepared it as once and how it worked like a charm. The location is great and the rooms were quite nice and i loved the fact that drivers were given if we wanted to travel to different locations in resort and the drivers each of them is very nice, we wanted to check out at 4 in the morning and they came by 3:45 and were smiling and we asked them to pack some sandwiches for the road ahead and how nicely they packed it. Also if you have kids or even adults make sure to not miss the activities they are so good especially archery(it is complimentary for the first time then you can pay for more) and it was quite a nice experience. Overall i would 100% visit it again and would recommend it to everyone that is going to coorg.
