My stay at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai was truly wonderful. The hotel is very, very beautiful, with a modern yet warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. The rooms are extremely spacious, offering a luxurious sense of comfort, and the bathrooms are just as large and beautifully designed — I absolutely loved it! One of the most unique features is the runway view from the room. Watching flights take off and land right from your bed is such a magical and unforgettable experience — it’s truly something special that you don’t find everywhere. The service is top-notch, with staff who go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The food is absolutely delicious, offering a wide variety of options, and the overall hospitality is warm, thoughtful, and truly memorable. If you're looking for a luxurious and one-of-a-kind stay in Mumbai, Taj Santacruz is a perfect choice.

I had just visited to meet a family member, and the experience was quite pleasant—except for the food. Starting from the top: once you enter the hotel, there’s valet service, which, as usual, is efficient. Then, you head to the reception and provide your name along with the name and room number of the person you’re visiting. I think that’s a great measure in terms of security, as they only hand over an extra room key after confirming with their guest. Now, coming to the room. The rooms here are quite spacious, with comfortable beds, clean washrooms, an iron, television, and all the basic amenities you’d expect. I had dinner at the restaurant here. To my surprise, the food didn’t live up to the hotel’s standards. The service was slow, and to make things worse, the food was poorly cooked—perhaps due to some issue in the kitchen. However, I must applaud the waitstaff; they genuinely tried to make up for it with their attentive service. So, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re planning to dine in. Hopefully, the management takes note and works on improving this. Last but not least—music. I must say, the hotel has hired some truly talented singers. Their performances can make your evening or even your entire day feel soothing and memorable. So even if not for the food, do stop by to enjoy the live music. It’s definitely worth it.

My recent stay at Taj Santacruz was nothing short of disappointing and completely unworthy of the reputation the brand holds. We had chosen this property to celebrate a special occasion—our second engagement anniversary—and had specifically requested room decoration well in advance. This request was entirely ignored without any explanation or acknowledgment from the hotel. Despite the official check-in time being 2 PM, we were kept waiting until 5 PM. At around 4 PM, we were told that our room was being upgraded to a Junior Suite due to the delay and would be ready in 15 minutes. However, an hour later, we were abruptly informed that the upgrade was no longer possible due to a “technical issue,” and we would get our originally booked room instead. This actually felt like they fooled us and made us waited till 5 pm. This chaotic experience was made worse by the fact that my pregnant wife, who was feeling unwell, needed rest and immediate accommodation. Despite multiple requests and reminders, there was a shocking lack of empathy and absolutely no sense of urgency shown by the staff. The problems didn’t end there. In-room dining was another disaster. We ordered a sandwich but received something completely different. The coffee vending machine in the room was not working, and the hand shower of the bathtub was faulty—a clear maintenance issue, especially when we had booked Taj Club Room inclusive of a dinner buffet. Speaking of the dinner buffet—it was absolutely pathetic. The food was cold, soggy, and lacked freshness. To make matters worse, the ice cream smelled like vomit, which was disgusting and unacceptable at any standard, let alone a luxury hotel. The staff seemed completely lost. All they could do was apologize repeatedly without offering any real solution. Their responses felt robotic and insincere, further diminishing the already ruined celebration. In summary, what was supposed to be a joyful and relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating ordeal. The service, hospitality, and attention to detail were severely lacking and far below the standards expected from the Taj brand. I truly hope the management reflects on this and takes serious corrective measures, because this was a truly pathetic experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
