Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa Delhi NCR

Located in Surajkund, this spacious property boasts lavishly appointed rooms. Our room, 209, in particular, was enormous and offered a stunning view of the fountain. It had a spacious balcony perfect for relaxation and enjoying the day. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, equipped with all the necessary amenities. One area that could be improved is the water quality. It had a slightly unpleasant taste, which could be due to recycled water. The hotel also offers a variety of activities, including rock climbing, net cricket, zip-lining, and pottery. Food-wise, the breakfast buffet is a highlight. It offers a wide range of food options, as well as the ability to order your own items. It’s definitely worth filling yourself up with breakfast. The breakfast experience was even more enjoyable when a flute player approached us and played some amazing music. This was a great way for the hotel to engage with its customers. Overall, we had an extremely satisfying experience at this hotel.

Taj Surajkund offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and serenity. The property is beautifully designed with spacious rooms, elegant interiors, and a calm ambiance. The hospitality is warm and attentive, making guests feel truly cared for. Food options are diverse and delicious, with a special focus on both Indian and global cuisines. The spa and wellness facilities add to the relaxing experience, while its location near the Surajkund area gives a peaceful retreat feel, away from city chaos. (Highly recommended for a luxurious stay or weekend getaway!)

Having stayed at numerous Taj properties across the country, I must say this was by far our most disappointing experience. Reception staff should be trained properly on how to welcome guests. Felt more like some government office where people had to stand in line for checking in as no one from reception reached out to guests for checking in. Same experience was repeated during checkout. Food was kind of average in both buffet and in room dining. Prices are at par with high end Taj resorts but tastes like low end Radisson hotels. Had to ask for water during breakfast as no one cared to ask for it. We make better sandwiches and coffee at our home than the ones we paid 2000 bucks for. House keeping and the staff at the bar did a commendable job. Rooms are fine as per the price paid. One suggestion would be to train staff at oasis and reception properly or maybe get a new team for these areas. At this point it looks more like a training centre rather than a high end hotel like Taj. Another point to note was the strict aversion to credit. Asking to pay then and there for room service, empty mini bars, pre-paying for rooms during checkin. Felt kind of strange as we never see such practices at good 5 star hotels.
