Taj Usha Kiran Palace Gwalior

We stayed at the Usha Kiran palace for 4 nights. It was wonderful luxurious experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. The property has lovely gardens and swimming pool. The spa at the wellness center is something to experience. They have special golf cart which take you to visit the Jai Vilas palace which is a great advantage especially when you have kids and seniors with you. They also had cooking decorating and fish feeding activities for kids. A great place for all ages to enjoy, relax and have a pleasant stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at Taj Usha Kiran Palace, Gwalior, for two nights, and I must say, it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we entered the grand heritage property, we were transported into a world of regal charm, warm hospitality, and timeless elegance. The Palace & Ambience: The architecture and interiors of this historic palace are absolutely stunning—an exquisite blend of Maratha grandeur and colonial sophistication. Every corner of the property tells a story, and walking through its courtyards and gardens felt like stepping into history. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush lawns, antique décor, and charming nooks that are perfect for a serene getaway. Rooms & Comfort: Our room was beautifully appointed—spacious, comfortable, and rich in heritage aesthetics. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the traditional art pieces and heritage furniture, made our stay feel truly royal. The views of the palace gardens added to the charm. Service & Hospitality: As expected from the Taj, the service was impeccable. Every staff member we interacted with was courteous, attentive, and genuinely warm. Special thanks to the front desk and housekeeping teams for going out of their way to ensure our comfort. We felt welcomed and pampered throughout our stay. Dining: The food at Silver Saloon was an experience in itself. We enjoyed a range of local delicacies and international cuisine, all prepared with finesse. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, and dining in the elegant heritage setting elevated the experience. Experiences: We took the heritage walk around the property, which was a delightful glimpse into the history and stories of the palace. The Jiva Spa treatments were deeply relaxing, and the pool area offered a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring Gwalior. Location: The palace is ideally located—just a short drive from the Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, and other key attractions. It was the perfect base for experiencing the cultural richness of the city. Overall: Taj Usha Kiran Palace is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience. Whether you're a history lover, a couple looking for a romantic escape, or someone simply seeking luxury with soul, this place is ideal. Our 2-night stay was absolutely memorable, and we left with our hearts full of gratitude and awe. A proper heritage property, but lacks a touch of Taj Hospitality. Lacks a few things like 1. The Gps location is incorrect. It's hard to reach. 2. No proper direction signs inside the property like directions to the restaurant , rooms , reception , pool, etc. 3. Food is average although the breakfast was good. 4. Staff is not well trained. 5. Spa facility lacked maintenance, but the service was good.
