The whole experience was amazing. The remote location with the hotel perched high on the side of the mountain gave cozy vibes as the snow fell. The hospitality upon arrival was catered and individual, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and you can look directly down the valley, with the view from the private Onsen even more spectacular. The food was decent, well presented and for the most part delicious. If I have the opportunity to return, I would in an instant

My husband and I went for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. The staff were so kind and hospitable. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The nature was serene and healing. It's a lovely memory we will cherish always and hope to visit again.

Takimotokan Yuki no Sato is a charming, small ryokan with only about 15 rooms, offering an intimate and peaceful stay atop a scenic mountain. While the ryokan shows a bit of age, it more than makes up for it with its incredible panoramic views — truly a highlight of the experience. The service is exceptional. We felt thoroughly pampered throughout our stay, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, and came fully equipped with all necessary amenities. If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be the meals. While the quality was good, we felt that the variety was somewhat lacking, especially for those staying multiple nights. Overall, this ryokan is a wonderful retreat for those looking to unwind in a serene setting with warm hospitality and stunning nature views.
