Taksim Avenue Hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights. Great location close to transport, Taksim Square, lots of great food nearby. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The room was lovely. Great bathroom and lots of hot water. I really recommend staying here.

A compact and small hotel with affordable prices, suitable for those who don’t want to spend much and don’t have high expectations for special services. My room was clean and tidy as well.

At the time of booking I had an entire email discussion with reception about reserving a room on a higher floor, away from noise as much as possible, and that this was confirmed. Upon check in I was told with a shrug of the shoulders that no such room was available and I was given the room immediately above reception facing the street. I'm not sure what was located above me, but after 30 minutes of what sounded like a herd of hoofed animals migrating across my ceiling, I checked out and went somewhere quieter. I realise that this is a hotel in a central, busy location so expecting absolute silence is unrealistic. But then why bother telling people you're going to put them in a quieter room if you have no intention of doing so? I should stress that the rooms themselves seemed quite nice if you're not bothered by the noise.
