Taksim Prelude Hotel

Fine. Ok room. Flickering light. Bathroom door malfunctioning. Handle on the minibar broken. No cleaning for 4 nights. Good ac, friendly staff. Good location. Cheap. Pretty clean room overall.

The location is superb and that's what we were looking for. The photos of the front door of the hotel is incredibly deceiving as well as the inside lobby. The room with 2 beds was very small, dusty, phone was broken (and never got fixed), TV was not working, the electric outlet next to my bed broken and never got fixed. No cleaning service. We had to ask for it. Towels were so old, thin with holes. The two gentlemen were kind yet a bit odd at times but their possibilities were extremely limited. We wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!!!

It was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. Almost everything was bad. First I had reserved a room with this title: "Double Or Twin Superior room". But when we arrived the receptionist said that it depends on us to give you a double room and at the moment we can give you a twin room and if you want the double room you should pay extra to promote your room!! consider that I and my wife were sleeping in the hotel for 3 nights at a 1-meter distance!!! Let's talk about this 4-star hotel! I think even a 2-star is too much for this hotel. The lobby was as small as a little home and only 3 small sofas for sitting. The room was really small. The air conditioner's controller was not working and every time we wanted to turn it on or off, we should tell the lobby man. And guess what; the phone to dial was not working and I had to walk to the lobby every time. I told them several times and nothing happened for fixing these problems. Even they were ignoring to clean the room and in our 3day stay, they only cleaned our room 1 time and they did it after we put a lot of pressure on them! This 4star hotel even hadn't a toothbrush in its room and when I asked for it, they said we ran out of it!! Besides all these low-quality services, the noise during the night was too much. Every hour we were jumping out of bed because someone was yelling inside or outside the hotel. In conclusion, never try this hotel and I propose you ignore all hotels in Taksim square because most of them look the same.
