Talash Hotels Chimney House

We stayed in one of the executive suites which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Pleasant surroundings and close to Congleton. Breakfast was fine if you aren't vegetarian. First day we were asked what we wanted, the following days (4 in total) was a buffet style service. They made us some poached eggs. Staff were friendly and hotel was very pleasant.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, the rooms could do with a bit of updating as some of the walls an ceilings are showing the sign of age. The mixture of LED lighting and warm white incandescent lighting needs attention it all looks a bit confusing. Staff were great and it was quite and calm overnight, we may book again!

It's a nice looking building with good size public spaces. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. However the decor is a bit tired - curtains needed some more hooks as they were hanging off in places. The room was a bit dusty too. Shame really as the setting is lovely and could be a fabulous venue with a bit of inspiration. All the staff were friendly but the breakfast room and restaurant area/bar had no atmosphere so we didn't have an evening meal and chose to go elsewhere. There were lots of good points to the hotel but attention to detail was missing. We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't return. As its close to the m6 they probably cater for people working away from home and possibly don't worry too much about the long weekenders!
