Tamarix del Mar Suites

Just got back from a week at Tamarix. Great place if you want somewhere that’s quiet and relaxed. The staff are wonderful and are very helpful. Our room had a jacuzzi, which was great to sit in and admire the views. The breakfast is fresh and the dining area is always clean. It’s a 2/3 minute walk away from the beach and all the bars and restaurants. It’s a 20 minute trip to Fira, which is great for shopping or a 30 minute drive to Oia, where you’ll see a great sunset. We would recommend the family owned business right opposite the front for any private taxi trips. Chrisi and her family are reliable and their prices are good. Thanks for everything to all the Staff at Tamarix.

A beautiful hotel with such friendly staff. Would recommend and stay again. We advised we were vegan before going to see if there would be anything to eat at breakfast. When we arrived, every morning they'd point out what we could eat and often had something in the kitchen they'd made for us. Amazing hospitality and the suite was perfect. Great location too, just a short walk down to the beachfront.

Located very close to the boulevard of Kamari Beach. There are plenty of good restaurants available nearby as well as mini-markets. The staff are also very helpful. All rooms arr loacted around the swimming pool. The Luxury Maisonette room is very spacious and comfortable. However, it is located on the first floor, for which one has to climb 15 steps. Besides, to get to the jacuzzi, one has to climb up to the mezzanine floor and squeeze through a small door onto the roof where the jacuzzi is located - a difficult task. There is also no table or place in the wardrobe to keep the luggage on. Drinking water is provided once at the time of check-in, and thereafter, one has to purchase water from outside. Breakfast spread was good with wide variety.
