Staff were very accommodating and lovely. We arrived A LOT later than expected (4am we thought we would be there for 1am) from our overnight bus and called the hotel and the staff woke up and accommodated us to our room. The cabins were stunning AC was cold and shower pressure was strong and they have a hot tub too!! Not too far from the town would definitely recommend :)
Arrived at 6pm to find the place empty, someone from a nearby field showed us to a room that we presumed was ours. Messaged the Hotel to ask for information about our stay but was ignored. No toilet roll, towels or soap and was ignored again when we asked for some. I don't think there was ever a chef employed at this place. Surrounded by fields which always have fires in them so the pool can't really be used most of the time. For the money you would spend I would recommend staying somewhere closer to Tam Coc, its not worth the hassle.
This place is an absolute disaster from start to finish — and it's painfully obvious why it’s so cheap. Don’t be fooled by the pretty photos; they hide a complete lack of organisation, service, and basic hospitality. When I arrived, there was no reception staff to check me in. Not a single person in sight who actually seemed to work there. I ended up wandering around confused until I had to wave down a woman working in a nearby field, then used Google Translate to communicate. She pointed me toward a building, but even then, there was no clear check-in process or welcome. It was chaotic, uncomfortable, and completely unprofessional. Throughout my four-day stay, I didn’t encounter a single proper staff member. Just random people—possibly neighbours—coming and going. No one who actually seemed responsible for anything. The room was never cleaned once. Rubbish just piled up. I was given one towel and had to reuse it the whole time. There was no body wash, no hand soap, no shampoo—just a single, ALREADY USED bar of soap, which is unhygienic and unacceptable. Breakfast was equally dismal. I was silently ushered into a dark, cold restaurant-like room where someone dropped two fried eggs and a plastic bag with bread in front of me. No smile, no greeting, not even a word spoken. It felt more like a punishment than a meal. The room itself didn’t include a single piece of information about the property. No welcome booklet, no Wi-Fi details, no guidance on anything. Nothing to help you understand how the “hotel” works—or if it even is a hotel. If I hadn’t already been in Vietnam for a few weeks with a working SIM card, I would’ve been completely stuck. I used my own mobile data to organise transport and figure everything out. But I really feel for any traveller arriving in the country for the first time—this place would be a nightmare. Even after messaging the property twice with questions, I received zero response. No courtesy, no concern, no follow-up. Then when it was finally time to leave, they didn’t even know how to take payment. They had to phone a friend—yes, literally—to talk them through how to use the card machine. It was clumsy, time-consuming, and made us late for our bus. Yes, the surroundings are nice and the photos look cute online, but that’s all this place has going for it. It’s all surface-level charm with absolutely no substance. There is no professionalism, no communication, no cleanliness, no structure—nothing that resembles a functioning accommodation. There are so many other amazing places to stay in Tam Coc, and many of them are similarly priced or only slightly more expensive. Do yourself a favour: don’t waste your time, money, or energy here. Book literally anywhere else.
