Tan Hotel Special Category

The Tan is a perfect, modest hotel with a comfortable bed, clean linens and updated bathrooms with wonderful shower pressure. The kind staff were great communicators before I arrived and arranged a car service from the airport, though I believe Uber would have been fine if you have cell service. I elected to stay here because of the sweet rooftop room where breakfast is served. It has a distant view of the water and the food selections are really nice. The morning coffee is great. The rooms are city size, meaning not big but they are well equipped with a comfortable chair, fridge, safe, closet, two night stands with storage, and plugs. My room looked onto a small square, with a big operable window that I left open some nights. It is relatively quiet with pedestrians and a few cars. We had an early spring heat wave and I also found the air conditioning was quiet. Traveling alone it feels safe. There's a great coffee shop around the corner and good restaurants in walking distance. This hotel is a great value and I recommend it for its location to all the sites in the old city. If you want to spend more for a hotel you can but I'd rather stay at the dependable Tan and spend the extra on dining out!

10/10 – Everything was perfect! A huge thank you to the entire team at Tan Hotel. From the reception to the housekeeping staff, everyone was so kind, smiling, and helpful ,it truly made us feel at home. Special thanks to the amazing lady from the breakfast team, always so welcoming and attentive ,she made our mornings extra special. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to all the main sights. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect for exploring Istanbul on foot. ✔ **Friendly & Professional Staff** – The team was welcoming, helpful, and made our stay comfortable. ✔ **Tasty Mediterranean Breakfast** – The food was fresh and delicious, though the options were mostly the same every day. **Cons:** ✖ **Rooms Smaller Than Expected** – The actual room was more compact than what was shown in the booking photos. ✖ **Repetitive Breakfast** – While tasty, some variety would have been nice over four days. **Final Verdict:** A **good choice for travelers who prioritize location and service** over spacious rooms. I would recommend it for short stays, especially if you plan to spend most of your time sightseeing.
