PLEASANT 3.5 stars We really enjoyed our weekend stay here as the property provided everything we needed for a central base in Aberystwyth. Especially with the complex social needs of the family The house was clean with fresh sheets, comfy mattresses, plenty of hot water and good showers. The pool and hot tub were also clean, and having exclusive 24/7 access to them was ideal — especially as we stayed when it was too hot for the beach, so the kids were entertained and the adults could relax too. The garden felt safe and secure, which was perfect for the dogs, and we also appreciated having WiFi and smart televisions, which made it easy to unwind as a family. Overall, it was comfortable and worked well for ticking the boxes for our trip. That said, the property has definitely aged and is showing signs of wear and tear and lost the word Luxury feel. Id say its a comfortable dated bungalow. The exclusivity of the pool and hot tub is what makes it and there was spare sanitizer to keep the hot tub and pool clean. It would have been stunning in its heyday and the pictures from when it was in its glory would of been, but now it’s a little rough around the edges and in need of some modernisation and care. We were unsure if the outside sauna worked as we couldn’t get it on, and the games shed at the back was unfortunately not in full working order, with no complete sets or cues for the table. While the place feels dated and a bit run down, it still provided a pleasant stay — it just seems to need a little more love and attention to bring it back to its full potential. Pictures shown are when it was at its best. Comfy and pleasant but very dated and worn.

NICE LITTLE PLACE ITS A SHAME THAT WHEN WE ARRIVED THE HOME WAS FREEZING HOT TUB COLD SWIMMING POOL EMPTY PROPERTY CPULD HAVE BEEN PREPPED A BIT BETTER THAN THIS SWIMMING POOL TOOK ALMOST 2 DAYS TO FILL AND NO POOL HEATING IF WE HAD KNOWN WE WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND AND GONE ELSEWHERE AS THIS WAS ADVERTISED AND WAS THE MAIM SELLING POINT BATHROOM SHOWER TRAY IS DAMAGED AND IS COVERED WITH SEALANT KITCHEN WINDOW DAMAGED GOING BY THE OTHER REVIEWS AND THOSE REVIEWS ON BOOKING.COM ALL THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AROUND A YEAR WITH THE DAMAGED POOL BEOMG THE MAIN ISSUE ITS OK OWNING HALF THE TOWN AND A HOTEL TRY MAKING SOME OF THE HOLIDAY LETS TO A BETTER STANDARD REPLACE THE POOL LINER AND HEATING EQUIPMENT ALSO WE HAD A DOG YOUR STAFF EHO SORTRD HOT TUB LEFT THE BACK GATE WIDE OPEN AND YOU ALSO OVER DOSED THE HOT TUB WITH CHLORINE TABLETS TO THE POINT 4 OF US ENDED UP WITH RASHES AND BURNS AFTER INSPECTION OF THE FILTER YOU HAD USED 2 LARGE TABLETS ?????????? GOOD JOB WE GOT IN BEFORE OUR 13 YEAR OLD DID

We're to begin. Socket in kitchen not working. Dirty plates, cups and dishes, including baking dishes and saucepans. Dishwasher had food inside, namely Pasta, Veg & fish bones. Had to clean dishwasher before we could clean the pots!!! Door handles missing on some kitchen cupboards, large pieces of worktop covering missing, also had burn markes. Hob was covered in fat. Had to clean it up. Shouldnt of bothered, none of the sections of the hotplate worked. Owner sent someone to check and tell me it wasn't working DUH!!! Nothing mentioned about when it would be sorted. No bin liners left for us to use. Only 1 tea towel. NO OVEN GLOVES at all. Bathroom sinks didn't have plugs, only the bath, so made it difficult to wash. Thank goodness I took face cloths Hot tub, filthy. Water was yellow had not been cleaned on changeover day. Complained. Owner sent two men to top it up and more chemicals. They DID NOT CLEAN IT AND REFILL. DIDNT USE FOR FEAR OF BACTERIA Also had a black hard set dirt mark from scum around the edge of the water. Based on that we didn't use the pool either, plus Pool was COLD not heated, had to sweep up in the pool room as there was a lot of rubbish on the floor. I know its a dog friendly cottage and we took our dog. It was very secure but there was a fresh dog poo and some that was at least 3 weeks old. Complained to owner, nothing done. Lounge coffee table glass top was not secured with anything and slid all over. Side table filthy....covered in dust and spills. Complained to Owner, nothing done. Burn marks on main bedroom floor carpet. We lasted 3 days before we came home on the 4th day. It was a shame as this property has loads of potential. It's just not loved and cared for. I would also like to say that Cottages.com were absolutely brilliant. They tried to help so much and were very professional. They sorted refunds etc very very quickly. It has not out me off using them. The staff are a credit to the company
