Tandjung Sari

Magnificent location on Sanur beach. Quiet, private and luxurious air-conditioned "bungalows" each in an architectural individual Balinese style with thatched roofs and pitched ceilings in bamboo, with also a small rear courtyard featuring an extra outside shower. At the front enterence a larger private courtyard with a garden cabana for two. The hotel extends from the beach with restaurant, bar, pool and reception area.Then the bungalows each tucked away from each other by tropical mini maze garden with a 100mt driveway to the bustling street. We absolutely loved the place with it's beautiful indoor and alfresco dining areas from early breakfast to dinner, (we had one lazy day with room service) From the waiting and bar staff,reception, services to management, all went out of their way to give us an unforgettable experience, We were there for two weeks and much of the time enjoyed the delicious restaurant meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. Yes, we will very happily return for our next Balinese visit to the Tandjung Sari Hotel Sanur.

My room was impeccably clean and beautiful. The bathtub was huge and luxurious, with plenty of hot water. The service was excellent. Overall, the grounds were so lovely and peaceful. At night, there was occasional street noise in Villa 11, but it was not a problem for me (and I’m a light sleeper). I would avoid Villa 15, though, as it is right by the road, and I could hear loud street and club noise at night when I walked in that area. The complementary breakfast was delicious and plenteous. (One of my breakfasts here was my favorite meal in Bali.) I would definitely stay here again!

One only need observe the passersby on the public walkway along the beach in front of the hotel to realize the uniqueness of the Tandjung Sari. Nearly everyone stops as they pass, taking in the beauty and tranquility of the lounge area, pool and bar. This is as close to heaven as one can get if you're looking for escape from the rat race of the rest of the world. The food was incredible, the service unsurpassable, the accommodations more than I could have imagined. Though a world away, I eagerly anticipate returning to this slice of paradise whenever I need respite.
