I had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel with a friend. It was Christmas night in 2023, and we had an amazing time. They had a huge Christmas dinner buffet that was absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of music, dancing, and games to keep us entertained. The food was so varied and tasty, and the room we stayed in was incredibly clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. There was even a nice pool and a pool bar. The hotel is right on the edge of the ocean, so the view was breathtaking. We could relax and enjoy the sunset by the ocean. We had an incredible time and would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay. The staff were also very helpful and friendly, making our experience even better.
Worst experience you can have from a 4-Star Hotel We went to this hotel last weekend with 100 people for a conference of ours and stayed overnight as booked earlier. It was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The hotel management had no planning, no proper arrangements, and no sense of friendliness. The staff clearly have no idea what hospitality means. In the rooms, there weren’t even enough towels—not even the ones we had pre-booked. When we called and asked, they didn’t bring them until we had called more than twice. The only positive thing I can mention is that the food tasted good, but even that came with major issues. The dining area was extremely small and overcrowded, making it very uncomfortable. We had to wait more than 30 minutes just to get a table, and when we finally did, it was still dirty from the previous guests. We had to ask more than ten times for them to clean it, and then repeatedly ask for plates and cutlery. Even after that, it took 15–20 minutes for them to bring what we needed, and by then we had lost our appetite. Because of their delays, there was barely any food left for us in the end. There wasn’t even water placed on our table. For the price we paid, we received absolutely no value for money. The rooms were old, didn’t feel properly cleaned, some lights didn’t work, and some had a strange smell. When we pointed out these shortcomings, the staff never accepted them—instead, they argued back and tried to defend themselves. They didn’t even apologize, let alone attempt to fix the problems. The staff were unprofessional and clearly need basic training on how to treat customers. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would not recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place at all costs.
Absolutely Horrible – Cockroaches, Dirt I stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel in Sri Lanka, and let me tell you — it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. This place is a complete joke. The name says “Beach Hotel,” but spoiler alert: there’s no real beach. Just a patch of sand near the water, full of rocks and debris. Don’t expect to lay out on a beautiful beach — it’s basically unusable. The rooms? Disgusting. Dirty floors, stained linens, and bathrooms that look like they haven’t been cleaned properly in years. And as a bonus, the place is infested with cockroaches — huge ones that crawl on the floor, the walls, and even near your bed. I killed more bugs in that hotel room than I’ve seen in my entire life. When I told the staff, they acted like it was totally normal — “It’s common here,” they said. Unbelievable. They didn’t apologize, didn’t offer to change rooms, nothing. Just a blank stare and zero accountability. The staff is slow, careless, and clearly don’t care about the guests. The only thing that was halfway decent? The food. Not amazing, but okay. Edible and better than the rooms, which isn’t saying much. Honestly, I feel scammed. The photos online look nothing like the real place — this hotel is worn down, mismanaged, and nowhere near the tropical escape it pretends to be. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Avoid it at all costs.
