Cannot speak highly enough of this campsite! Facilities were epic, great shower block - $1 for four minutes of hot shower, toilets and showers always clean, never out of toilet paper. We were in area 5C, lots of trees to camp under and the sites themselves are big. We had three sites, and two water taps - which was so good! We were road side, but it is all sealed so no excessive dust. 1 minute walk to the beach and no prickles on the grass! To top it all off, friendly and helpful staff - we had a blast thank you!
Huge camp, but very well run and always spaces for unbooked arrivals. No kitchens but good basic facilities otherwise. Bring $1 coins for the showers. Beautiful beach. Great swimming, safe, but higher tides only.
Jackie was super lovely at Otautu campsite, we rocked up later afternoon where she very kindly put us up in a unit for the price of tenting on a non powered site, as the weather was supposed to be rubbish for the night (which it was) so she wasn’t up all night worrying about us. Beautiful place right next to the water. Super welcome, everything was clean too - 10/10 would recommend and we will be back!
