Tauá Hotel & Convention Caeté

I worked tow days at a chain laboratories convention and the staff was always ready to help. The resort's restaurant is very complete and the food varied, with many options to vegetarian people as well. Recreation area was awesome too, with heated and outdoor pool, courts and very well trained staff! I really enjoyed the time I've spent there. One negative point is the parking, which is not covered.

The standard room is very small and we saw a cockroach on our first night. The all inclusive package doesn't include beverages, which we didn't like. You have to climb a hill every time you want to go to the pool, to the restaurant or to any other place in the hotel. I'm 7 months pregnant, so that wasn't very comfortable. But there's a lot of activities for kids, the pool area is nice and the food is good.

Even though the staff are well-trained and friendly, this hotel has serious issues that can ruin your stay, particularly in terms of maintenance and hygiene. Our bed was broken, and the air conditioner leaked water onto the balcony, making the floor dangerously slippery. My wife slipped and injured her hands. The bathroom had a terrible smell, likely due to plumbing problems that caused unpleasant odors to return into the room. Unfortunately, the problems extend beyond the room. You’ll notice unpleasant smells throughout the hotel and many signs of poor upkeep. The worst part, however, is the indoor pool. It looked so unclean and neglected that we didn’t even have the courage to step in. My final advice: avoid this hotel.
