Telegraph Hotel Coventry

I've stayed at this place three times now, and each visit has been a fantastic deal—way cheaper than a Travelodge or Premier Inn! The decor is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and incredibly stylish. The service here is unmatched, with a good breakfast buffet and a bar that offers a fantastic selection of drinks and food. Every stay has been a delightful experience!

Hotel has references to it's past life which is quite cool. We stayed in the duplex room, which while the concept is nice, it's rather small and maybe would've preferred a normal room. A lot of dark wood about as well so room felt quite dark. But otherwise was modern and clean. As this is a city centre location parking is difficult right outside the hotel to unload bags but there are car parks within 5 min walk.

The restaurant at the Telegraph is wonderful -- one of the best places in the area. Excellent service, proper high quality food (I had a catch of the day fish and it was beautiful; superior to anything you'd get at a chain restaurant). Really gorgeous space too. However, the Generators bar on the roof, while a brilliant place to sit, was disappointing. The service up there is inadequate and sloppy -- communication was unclear, the servers seemed a bit uncertain, and I was told that if I wanted a hot drink I'd have to go all the way down to the main bar! Need to sort that out...
