Our family stay at Tella Thera was unforgettable. The hotel is stunning—thoughtfully designed with muted, calming tones and panoramic views that take your breath away. The beds were the most comfortable (and largest) we’ve experienced anywhere in Europe, making every night feel like a dream. The staff went above and beyond with their five-star service—attentive, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. We loved the fresh, flavorful Cretan dishes, each meal a highlight of our day. The entire atmosphere felt peaceful and relaxed, a true sanctuary in Crete. We left feeling completely rested and can’t wait to return—Tella Thera is a rare gem.

From the moment we arrived, we felt as though we had stepped into a serene sanctuary—an artful harmony of nature and design. Nestled amidst olive groves and sloping gently toward Kissamos Bay, this hotel offers great panoramic views that seem to glow with golden hues at dusk. The architecture blends seamlessly into the landscape, with earthy tones, organic textures, and a mindful, minimalist aesthetic that invites deep relaxation and reconnection with the surrounding natural beauty. One of the unexpected highlights? The best nap of our lives! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the pillows were like clouds — soft, supportive, and just perfect. We both agreed we hadn’t slept that well in ages. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people. The hospitality was genuine and heartfelt from the moment we arrived. Every member of the team made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for — like guests in their home rather than just visitors. Their warmth, attention to detail, and willingness to share local tips and stories added so much to our experience. It’s rare to find service this personal and sincere. The location is another huge win. We’ve stayed in Chania before, but this spot completely won us over — it’s quieter, more relaxed and perfectly positioned near some of the most breathtaking beaches we’ve ever visited. Think crystal-clear waters, soft golden sand, and vibrant turquoise tones that feel almost unreal. Absolute paradise. And the food — truly unforgettable. The on-site restaurant exceeded every expectation. We’re still talking about the slow-cooked lamb with gamopilafo - rich with flavor and falling apart with every bite. Breakfast was just as special, featuring freshly baked homemade bread and local products that tasted like they came straight from a village kitchen. Every meal felt thoughtful, full of care, and rooted in tradition. We honestly can’t wait to come back. This hotel delivered everything we wanted and more — a peaceful escape with luxury, charm, and soul. Highly, highly recommend!

Luxury within a truly authentic enviroment. We stayed with my wife and two young boys at the villa which felt super private but also within a stone throw from the restaurant and main pool. Although you have to be comfortable going up the stairs...our kids preferred the buggy ride! My favourite part was the breathtaking view which we enjoyed from the balcony but also from any other location of the hotel. I would recommend Tella Thera for those who want to combine luxury and privacy.
