Tenseien Odawara Station Annex

Located just next to the Odawara train station (with direct access from train station to Lusca mall to hotel through level 3), it is more accessible than hotels in Hakone, and has 3 beds in room which is extremely useful for our family of 6 with 3 young kids and a helper all staying in the same room. Easy access to food options, great breakfast and also provided onsen with a small fee. The buses and trains from here to Hakone are covered by the Hakone Freepass too. Shinkansen also reaches here from Tokyo directly too. Prob one of the best decisions to stay here for Hakone day trips

I needed a room at the last minute (after dark on the same day), and Tensein Annex came through nicely when other places were already full. Not only did I get an excellent place to sleep for the night, but I learned that they have public bath on the tenth floor that uses water from a source in Hakone. This communal bath has an open air section that looks out over Odawara Castle. A truly memorable experience, I will treasure it always.

It’s a simple hotel that offered nice rooms, very good location if your purpose is to explore Odawara city. It can be a bit confusing finding the check in counter, and the guidance the hotels sent us was irrelevant for the time we arrived at.
