Tenuta Sovestro Agriturismo e winery

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was a highlight of our trip! The staff is friendly, the hotel and BnB are absolutely beautiful. The free shuttle to San Gimignano was a plus. If it’s a nice day, shuttle there and walk back as it is a cool downhill walk back to the hotel. The breakfast is pretty good, and each room has AC which was a lifesaver. The 3 pools are amazing, but the grotto pool was a dream (we had it our to ourselves). If I go back to Italy, I am skipping the big cities and staying solely at Tenuta Sovestro.

We absolutely loved this place! The staff were friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the flexibility of being able to have a wine tasting without a premade reservation. We enjoyed the wine so much, we shipped a case home! Dinner and breakfast at DaPode were fantastic! The pool was perfect after a hot afternoon of walking around San Gimignano. Our room decor was nice and the room was very clean. The A/C worked well. The only downside was that we found the mattress and pillows too firm for our liking, but that seemed to be the same everywhere we stayed in Italy.

Great Accommodation. The scenery is very special. The woman at the reception is really friendly. Breakfast was very good (for italian standards.) You can use the pool of Hotel Sovresto if you wish. If you want to visit San Gimignano, there is a free shuttle which drives up there like 3 times a day. However, the city is around 25‘ away by foot and you would have to walk up a hill.
