Terceira Mar Hotel

The junior suite was spacious and the views are breathtaking. Enjoyed the balcony daily, in all weather. There could be a few updates, especially in the bathrooms, but the room was kept clean and they were minimal and didn't affect overall comfort or enjoyment. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with one exception. The cleaning staff was outstanding! They did an amazing job and went above and beyond by anticipating needs we didn't even know we had. The personal touches of the cleaning staff made our stay even more amazing. The outdoor pool was closed due to the season and the indoor pool was only available during certain hours due to the community using it for classes. The hot tub was more of a warm tub, but was clean and appreciated after a long day of walking hills. The location felt remote and private while being within walking distance to town. The restaurants were closed for renovations, but some food was available. The staff notified us of the closure multiple times in advance and directed us to some truly amazing local restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place! Pool is only 4' deep but has a killer view of Mt. Brasil there is a large kids pool which is nice. Outdoor bar is great but you can't order food from it. You have to order food from the hotel restaurant on the top floor (ground floor), this is the only negative in the pool area. About a 15 min walk from downtown Angra. Recommend using the pool entrance to walk to the city as opposed to walking on the street.

If you want stunning views and a quiet location, this hotel is for you! A charming 15 minute walk or 4 minute drive into the heart of town, the Terceira Mar hotel gave us the best of both worlds. Our junior suite was spacious, clean and well appointed and the ocean view was breathtaking. The breakfast offers a wide variety and we enjoyed some light nightime nibbles at the bar. A delicious cheese tray and calamari hit the spot along with a generous glass of red wine and, of course that incredible view. The staff is lovely and helpful. The one slight disappointment was that the hot tub, while clean, was rather lukewarm and steam room was closed. The sauna was small but worked well and the indoor pool was also small butlovely and clean. That being said, I wouldn't let that deter me from staying here again and recommending it to others. Simply, a beautiful hotel in a stunning location!
