Hotel room with breakfast is simply not worth 200 eur per night. Breakfast food quality leaves much to be desired, for instance all coffee machines produce over-burn coffee to a point that is not edible. Save yourself the unpleasant surprises and go to Sotelia for same prices with 3x more value without the clear hospitality mistakes and cost cutting.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I’ve been to vile therme zreče for 4 days with a group of friends. We have been placed in different apartments, each one far from the other. During the stay, some awful things have happened. At the moment of the check-in, many rules have not been said. On the first evening, as we were far from one other, we reunited in one of the apartments. At 11 pm, the night watchman broke into the apartment, obliging us to leave the room at that moment because, if we hadn’t done it, he would have called the police. The main reason was that the resort rule decided that at 10 pm everyone should have been sleeping. We immediately got out and he followed us till we got in our room. He had been staring at us for a while, pointing the torch up to our door till I went outside to ask what the problem was. He told me that we had to go to bed and sleep. The next evening, during dinner, the waitress asked for beverages at our table. As we are not Slovenian and we can speak English, she completely refused to talk to us in English because “the only language accepted there was Slovenian”. In some ways we managed to order a beer however, when it came to the payment, she told us that it was not possible to pay with the card. The next morning, talking to our friends, we found out that, when they woke up, they found the door of their room completely opened, so someone opened it in some way during the night while they were sleeping. In the afternoon, I decided to rest for some time. When I woke up, I found a surprise. Also, my room had been opened. I tried to check if anything had been robbed but everything was there. I couldn’t even think that it was the cleaning lady because the room had been previously cleaned in the morning. To put the cherry on top, the next afternoon, after an afternoon at the therme, I got home. When I left home, the light in the bathroom was turned on but, when I came back to my room, it wasn’t still on. Instead, the light of the bedroom was lighted and so, someone must’ve been there again. I ended up the stay being worried day and night, I felt in danger even in my apartment. Never again.

During my stay at the hotel in the last week of December, I couldn't help but notice certain aspects that left much to be desired. The property, though boasting a 4-star rating, appeared outdated and in need of refreshing. The second bed, a pull-out couch, proved to be uncomfortably inadequate. My disappointment extended to the dining experience, as the food options were severely limited and bland. It was especially challenging for those with dietary restrictions or gluten intolerance, given the lack of alternatives. Salads seemed overly dressed with vinegar, and fresh fruits were scarce. Moreover, the cleaning service fell short on multiple occasions. On the first day, a dirty rag was left on our table in the room, and on the second day, our balcony windows were left open in the cold weather, affecting the room temperature when we returned in the afternoon. Despite these inconveniences, there were no apologies from the staff. Regrettably, the overall impression was marred by the inhospitable attitude of the staff. I expected a higher level of service from a 4-star establishment. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
