We played golf here and enjoyed our time. We were checked in by an English speaking person and we felt welcome as Americans. We were not required to have a European golf card so that was nice. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are lovely and it feels like a beautiful park while you’re out there. They had sandwiches available at the bar and it was easy to grab and go.
Rita at reception was wonderful, offering to cart us across the property to our villa. Otherwise a long walk across the golf course. We stayed in 90D. We arrived on foot, walking the Via Francigena, so no car. Restaurant closed at 3pm - so no dinner options. We had lunch and brought our leftovers “home” for dinner. However, the kitchen was bare - no salt & pepper, condiments, coffee, etc. Nothing - and no place to go for them. For $216, you might leave some bare essentials. One wonders if they throw these items out after each stay. There are also several warnings about fines -if we don’t perform certain tasks, like carry the garbage across the golf course to the clubhouse and separate in different bins! Really? Good golf course ( front 9), attentive pro shop, good quality rental clubs. However I had a competition in front of me, it took me 3 hours to do the front 9 and then I gave up the rest of the round. The pro shop did not offer credit for 9 holes another day or do the front 9 again. Try Golf Nazionale around the corner, better deal
