Hosted by cousins, I had the opportunity to spend 2 days in this fantastic house. Nice, with everything you need to be comfortable and a small garden that gives peace. Despite the heat, the house is naturally cool and there was no need to use air conditioning. 4 stars for the location only because it is necessary to use the car to reach the wonderful beaches in the surrounding area. Surrounded by citrus groves and olive trees, it is even cooler in the evening. The rooms are basic, but with everything you need. The landlady, kind and helpful, is always available in case of need. He also takes great care of his gardens and his guests.

The Vendicari reserves proved to be a disappointing experience in several respects. Firstly, the little care for the garden and surrounding environment is evident from the moment you arrive. We found ourselves wandering around a neglected and uninviting area, far from the image of tranquility and beauty we expected. Furthermore, the outdated and malfunctioning air conditioners made our stay uncomfortable and unpleasant, with internal temperatures far from the desired ones. But the disappointments don't end there. Contrary to claims, the water was not drinkable, forcing us to look for alternative sources to hydrate. And regarding the distance from the sea, the reality is very different: the declared "800 metres" have turned into an uncomfortable routine of always taking the car to reach the coast. This added further stress to our stay, creating a very different experience than promised. Ultimately, the Vendicari reserves turned out to be a place with many unresolved problems: from the neglected environment, to poor services, to the lack of accurate information regarding the distance from the sea. The wifi never works except for a few times but then it freezes. I strongly advise against this destination to anyone looking for a natural and relaxing experience.
