In my opinion, this property should not be opened in the Summer. There is a severe lack of ventilation and cooling. The rooms are near 30 degrees C in June and the property made a futile attempt with a portable fan to cool the room. The fan failed. We had to leave the outside door open, allowing various insects to enter the room. I left the property after day 1 of an 8-day stay. The desk manager Paolo promised a refund for the remaining room. He unfortunately was dishonest and Expedia was unable to secure the refund promised. Shame on TH Courmayeur and shame on Expedia.
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Just avoid. The staff is rude, they are not friendly at all, don’t greet, or are just sadly looking down. Usage of spa and pool is bound to set of rules designed to charge additional fees. I don’t mind paying for service, but don’t tell me there is free service and then attach so many strings that you have to pay for towel, bathing cap, slippers… because all of this is mandatory and it’s not provided. I expect a good hotel to provide me with free bathrobe, towel and one-way slippers for their pool. The breakfast is horribly organized, eggs are prepared by one sad apprentice cook and a line forms. The food is spread across multiple rooms. Overall extremely frustrating experience. Avoid. Btw the location is also bad, just next to a road, nothing really nearby.
Avoid this hotel! This was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. While it looks nice on the outside, everything falls apart once you check in. The ski room lockers didn’t work, leaving our gear wet, and our room stayed freezing despite complaints to reception. The restaurant layout was bizarre, with food spread across three rooms, and the quality was subpar (definitely not worth 45€ per person). Breakfast was bland, cold, and lacked variety. The spa was an absolute disaster. We had to walk through the restaurant and reception in robes to get there, only to be told we couldn’t enter without buying flip-flops. The pool required swim caps, which they tried to sell to us as well. Add in the smell of sewage, and it was hardly a relaxing experience. Dinner service was chaotic, with long waits, missing courses, and confusion over a bottle of wine we’d saved from the previous night. The staff was trying, but the management was dismissive and unhelpful. We were promised a refund for one dinner, but even that became a struggle, with the manager handing over 90€ in small bills, seemingly collected from staff. Overall, this hotel feels cold, corporate, and completely indifferent to guests. It’s far from the warm, welcoming experience you’d expect in the Italian Alps. They claim to be a 4-star establishment, but this place doesn’t even come close. I couldn’t wait for my holiday to end—don’t make the same mistake!
