Dirty and poorly maintained hotel. RATS eating snacks in the room. Poor experience amplified by incompetent and rude staff. People started falling ill with nausea and diarrhea after the first night in the hotel. Initially, the hotel staff blamed the water supplier, then a local virus, and eventually stated that there was no problem. One set of staff said that many people were sick while others said that no one was sick. Finding closed packages of snacks chewed in the room suggests unsanitary conditions. I don't think we were that "lucky" to encounter the only rat in the whole hotel, so there are likely many more. I approached the reception and told them that my wife was sick. However, the so-called 4-star hotel staff didn't offer any help or tell me about the medical center. I had to pay a 30-euro deposit to get a kettle. They only told me about the medical center seemingly by accident on the fifth day of the trip, once I asked them if they were taking any action given that the majority of our 16-person group was sick and we had encountered rats. The receptionist said that they were only going to do something if it was reported by a doctor, not guests. The rooms were poorly ventilated and dry. A two-room accommodation had only one window, leaving the second room extremely hot and dark. We had a broken lamp that was making a loud noise and didn't allow us to sleep. I reported it to the receptionist in the morning, and they told me that the maintenance team would fix it. I trusted the hotel staff and left for skiing. Only in the evening did I find out that my sick wife was forced to stay in this dark room with the loud noise all day while the maintenance team didn't come. This time, I stayed at the reception until I made the receptionist actually call a maintenance person to explain the situation. It took a 10-second call to understand that the problem wasn't easy to fix, and they decided to change rooms. Again, I would expect a 4-star hotel to address problems without having to babysit and force them to do so. Each visit to reception felt more like a fight rather than a pleasant encounter. I travel a lot, and I don't remember a single time having to argue with the reception, and here it happened every second day. Since more people continued falling ill and the total ignorance by staff remained, we moved and stayed the last two nights of the trip in another hotel, essentially paying extra just not to be there. It felt great to be shown basic human decency again. Highly recommend choosing another hotel. Stay safe!
I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Despite being rated 4 stars, the hotel does not meet even the basic standards of a 2-star establishment. Firstly, the rooms were poorly cleaned and maintained. It was evident that they were not regularly attended to, which is unacceptable for any hotel. The entire property is outdated, with various elements in desperate need of renovation. The temperature in the room was also uncontrollable, making it uncomfortable to stay. The engineering systems were in a state of disrepair, which contributed to the overall poor experience. The bathroom had no ventilation, making it unpleasant to use. To add to the list of issues, the kitchen area was lacking even basic amenities like glasses or cups, which is something I would expect in any hotel room. The hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, which made the experience even more frustrating. Their attitude was not at all professional or welcoming, which added to the disappointment. The price charged for this stay is simply not justified by the poor quality of the facilities and services. Given all the issues I faced, I would never return to this hotel, nor would I recommend it to others. The experience left me in a bad mood and greatly affected my holiday. To make matters worse, when I learned that there were mice or rats in a neighboring room, I completely lost any desire to stay another night. This experience has made me rethink the value of hotel ratings and I regret choosing this one.
Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, primarily due to serious health and hygiene issues. During our stay, most people in our group fell ill with diarrhea, vomiting, and other stomach issues. As the days went on, we noticed more and more guests around us experiencing the same symptoms. When we informed the staff, their explanations kept changing. At first, they blamed the altitude, then mentioned receiving a notification from the water provider about compromised water—assuring us it was now safe—only to later deny this entirely and shift the blame to a supposed “resort virus.” No immediate sanitary measures were taken, and when they finally did implement some, it was on our last day there, which was far too late. Adding to the frustration, we were never informed that a doctor was available at the hotel. When we finally discovered this, instead of being helpful, doctor seemed irritated by the number of people seeking medical attention. One of our group members was prescribed antibiotics for a shorter duration than necessary, with no mention that treatment needed to be continued. When we asked the doctor about it, he admitted he only treated patients until they left the hotel, which is an incredibly irresponsible approach to healthcare. Beyond the health concerns, the overall quality of the stay was far from what one would expect from a 4-star establishment. Rooms were not properly maintained, and basic kitchen utensils had to be paid for separately. The only redeeming factor was the hotel’s proximity to the ski lifts.
