Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort

First time at Thanyapura and certainly won't be my last. From swimming and gym sessions to yoga, I tried group classes and private lesson offered by various coaches. The facility is spacious, providing a variety of activities along with wellness clinics and medical services, catering to different interests and needs. It's family-friendly and conveniently located near restaurants and cafes serving healthy Thai and international dishes. One highlight was my private swim session with Coach Matthew in the large 50-meter pool. Another was the stretching yoga classl, helping me recover after intense workouts. I spent time eating at the Divine restaurant and the nearby cafe (gotta recoup plenty of healthy calories). I'd recommend the custom smoothies and energy bars at Booster Bar. The rooms are comfortable and conveniently close to all facilities, making it easy to rest or work between activities. Staff are friendly and welcoming, no issues there. Tips for first-timers - bring sufficient sunscreen as Phuket tends to be sunny year-round so sun protection is super important. Also, consider trying the sauna and cold plunge after any session - it's refreshing.

I came to purchase a membership to play tennis. The manager handed me a tablet with eight pages to fill out, without even showing me the courts or explaining anything. She didn’t tell me when I could start playing, and did absolutely nothing. She pointed at the screen, expecting me to figure out how everything works on my own. Meanwhile, I saw other members already playing tennis. But I, someone standing at the entrance with a tennis racket, was simply told “can not” I kindly ask that the front desk staff be trained in proper customer service. A friendly greeting is not enough to run a successful business.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill since it was sold as a result of covid. State is three times prior to covid is exceptional food was amazing extensive menu and great quantities of high quality food. Menu is totally changed small serves less choice. On this trip full of young kids yelling and screaming running around banging on doors The staff are good kind and respectful Tennis courts gyms and pools are fantastic However the changes in the food quality selections and quantity means we won't be staying here again Very sad
