It's an absolutely beautiful, cozy and relaxing hotel. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Everything was convenient and beautifully done. A really lovely breakfast and everything was clean and well presented. The only thing I would say is the curtains do leave large gaps, but I would only be not picking. It was only for one night, but it had been a really lovely stay.

A group of 9 of us stayed while on a walking holiday of the area. Lovely comfortable rooms. Very clean. Staff friendly and did everything to make our stay a great experience. Very good breakfast with a large selection of food. Couldn’t fault anything. Walking distance to the brewery and a very good selection of pubs and restaurants . Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

This review is for one of the two bedroom cottages. Rooms 15 & 16. The cottage has a full kitchen with a 4 person dining table. A couch with two chairs (that I was a bit hesitant to sit on as they looked like they would make me smell like grandma). The upstairs has two separate bedrooms. One with an attached bath. The other has a bath in the hall. The pros: - solid walls and doors so limited noise from outside your room in room 16. However I can hear the tv quite clearly from the other cottage while in room 15. - comfy bed with enough pillows to make a fort - great water pressure and heat in the shower. The detached bathroom feels like it could use a deep clean, especially the back of the door. Attached bath was cleaner. - kitchen has all the amenities (excluding consumables like cooking oil) - Made to order breakfast - Some parking - Short walk to the city centre - super nice staff - daily maid service - strong fans provided - lovely garden area The cons: - they turn down your room even if you lock the door. I suppose you could ask reception to not do that. (Apparently there is a do not disturb sign, but one of the rooms did not have it). - sinks have amazing water pressure (which may splash your clothes when you first turn it on) - stairs are narrow heel-to-toe so you must be careful - spider webs are not cleared out near the windows or entryway - the alley is quite narrow to get into the car park and visibility is a bit limited when leaving - could use a luggage stand. Like one that folds up when not in use - both washing machines in the main building smell like wet dog and one of them is moldy. Even after using the dryer, my clothes still smell like the washing machine.
