The Alan

We had a great stay! The receptionist was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made check-in a breeze. The hotel is very well located—perfect for exploring the area with everything just a short walk away. What stood out most was the room décor; it was truly unique and unlike anything I’ve seen before—stylish, creative, and full of character. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here at The Alan. The hotel is located just around the corner from St Peters Square making tram and bus options very accessible. You can also walk to most places from here as well so location wise it is excellent! The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel appears minimalistic as it was converted from an old warehouse if I am not wrong but that's the magic of this place! The reception counter is just a table with a laptop on it but checkin was fast and efficient. Do note that check-in time is at 3pm and you may have to wait if you arrive early but they will store your bags for you. My room was spacious and had a very industrialised look with exposed cabling and piping on the ceilings. The room is very tastefully done up though and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and if there was any recommendation I would make it would be to make the bathroom brighter and for the rain shower to have better water pressure. Housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were made up rather quickly as well. Coffee, tea and even a hot chocolate sachet provided in the room as well as a bottle of water that you can top up with by requesting via room service. All in all a very pleasant experience at The Alan where I stayed for 5 nights. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay comfortable and memorable. Excellent value for me and would gladly recommend staying at The Alan.

We spent one night at The Alan Manchester. The atmosphere/vibe was upper class industrial. The bed was large and comfortable. The rooms were clean which, for me, is priority #1. They had room amenities which included tea, hot chocolate, shampoo/conditioner/body wash etc. There wasn’t a pool, laundry or gym that I saw but I didn’t look either. They had breakfast included with the room and it was delicious. The employees were polite and helpful. They also had a place to leave our bags after we checked out while we explored Manchester. Prices were good for the area. I’d definitely recommend this as a great option.
