My husband and I recently had our welcome party for our wedding at the Hotel Albatroz. We are so happy we did; it truly was as big of a highlight as the wedding itself. First, the hotel's location on the beach is stunning. The Dom Carlos room has enormous windows that provided our guests the most wonderful, beautiful view. We worked with Marta, who we cannot recommend highly enough. She worked incredibly diligently to ensure every detail of our event went smoothly. She helped us coordinate rental furniture and flower arrangement delivery. She was professional, responsive to emails, and genuine. We felt very supported and heard by her and her team. The welcome party was perfect. We cannot say enough amazing things about the FOOD. Everyone loved it. Nobody was bored. The bartenders were professional and quick to make sure people had a drink. We were able to choose several signature cocktails which our guests loved. If you are getting married in or around Cascais we highly recommend the Hotel Albatroz as a potential rehearsal dinner / welcome party space!!
This is an excellent hotel with superior staff and hospitality. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms are clean, large and well appointed with goodies. Location is right in the center of Cascais, close to large number of restaurants, shops and walk-able to the outstanding Marina. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, other than breakfast, because we prefer to eat at local restaurants, however, other guest said the food was very good but a little pricey. The beach is literally steps away but the pool area is very nice and when we were there in Mid May, plenty of room/beds/towels. The ONLY downside was the pool is NOT heated and was very cold. 10/10 for this hotel and would visit here again.
Overall, it was a really good stay. The hotel has a lot of charm, and the interior decoration is tasteful, elegant, and clearly looked after. The location is perfect. You’re right on the water with easy access to the center of Cascais. The restaurant is exceptional. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. Service was excellent throughout, very attentive without being overbearing. A couple of things could be better. The corridors aren’t well soundproofed. You can hear people talking like they’re standing inside your room, at least on the floor we were on. Also, the water in the bathrooms gets way too hot, to the point of being uncomfortable. Still, it’s a solid hotel. I’d come back, but I’d book a quieter room. The one we booked was one of the last available on Expedia.
