Easy 5 stars because of top notch service. In town for the weekend of GenCon 2025, i would 100% stay at this hotel again. The turkey club is the best i’ve had in my life, great service and eats from Plat99. Very top tier service because there was 2 maintenance issues and the person was at my room before i could get back both times. Front desk service was kind and great as well especially on Sunday because i was having a luggage and room key issue. The front doormen are always on point with their service as well. Not to mention housekeeping and coming back to fresh sheets and towels, on Saturday twice in one day. Overall very impressed, absolutely will try to snipe a room from the hotel lottery next year.
I spent a week here for a seminar, and it was excellent. The people were friendly and effective. The room was clean and comfortable. It got a little noisy outside for a short time after a Pacers playoff game, but it was otherwise a very peaceful place. The fitness room was satisfactory. The surrounding neighborhood is nice for a walk or run. The food was some of the best seminar food I've ever had, with a nice selection of very good dishes.
AVOID THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL. I found it questionable even before I arrived when I was texting with the staff on the Bonvoy app about a promotion. I understand that hotels are in the business of making money, and I asked about a “free parking” promotion noted on the app and if it was included with my booking. The staff response was “It seems you booked a (different) rate.”. It did not “seem” I booked that rate, I DID book that rate and the proper response should have been “Our apologies, but that promotion is not included in the rate you booked”. It left a sour outlook, but my husband was looking forward to the hotel on his BDay trip so I kept the booking. It is at a GREAT location, and the staff was pleasant enough, but I will be anxious to see how it looks after the upcoming renovation that I was told begins in Nov of 25. Let us hope they start with the guest rooms and hallways. Buckling carpets greet you when you step off the elevators along with banquet tables stuffed into the hallway. The rooms, although clean, are a bit austere and unwelcoming. My reading light would not turn off, there were no usb or usbC connections and the sink was chipped. They may seem like nit-picky details, but success is in the details (and it’s what one expects from an Autograph Collection Hotel). C’mon, claims to be an “Autograph Collection” hotel, not a Courtyard bt Marriott (I’ve stayed in more comfortable “Courtyard” brand hotels, and Autograph Collection hotels that are far superior to this one.), but its not. The lobby area is kinda cool, and there are some great details (the hallway lighting), the bar is spectacular (if you overlook the really bad performer caterwauling when we returned from dinner, we opted out of a nightcap because of it) so there is a lot of opportunity to turn this property into something really special. We’ll see if it happens. And honestly, I took Bonvoy’s “Autograph Collection” tag as a guarantee of a quality property that this is NOT. I should have read the reviews, (I read them after writing the initial review), had I read them I would not have stayed here. UPDATE: AVOID THIS HOTEL, even if you have status with Bonvoy, they say one thing and do another. And a note to the HOTEL about their response: You only get to make a first impression once, I will not be back.
