The Anchor Inn

A lovely old pub down quiet country lanes. The room was large with a comfortable bed leading to a good night's sleep. The bathroom was well stocked with a generous shower. The food was well cooked and tasty from the Sunday lunch options to the included cooked to order breakfast. Service was friendly and delivered with a smile and we had a lovely stay. With the Sunday sleepover deal it was great value for money.

We had a fantastic stay at The Anchor! They kindly let us check in early so we could get changed for a wedding, which was really appreciated. The pizza from the outdoor oven was absolutely delicious, and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was excellent too. Great service all around, we would definitely stay again! Thank you.

Beautiful location and a stunning hotel, we were greeted by lovely, friendly staff and were quickly seated. Freddy was polite and knowledgeable about the menu and specials and was understanding of my dairy intolerance. We had the chefs special croquets and the honey sesame chicken wings (for me) - both were tasty and packed with complex flavour. For mains we had the roast beef and roast plate with pork, chicken and beef. They were generous, juicy, tender and cooked amazingly. The vegetables were fantastic and the highlight were the roast potatoes! For dessert we shared the blackberry tart, freshly baked, with locally picked berries …. Amazing!!! Compliments to the chef and The Anchor Inn team!! We would highly recommend a visit and look forward to coming back.
