We love this hotel and the staff who make it wonderful. We have stayed there 3 times. It's a true gem and quite unique in Tokyo I believe. Get the suite type rooms if you can. So spacious, comfortable, beautiful light and views. There is even a washing machine in the suite for your convenience. The breakfast is on the top floor, with gorgeous light and views. The hotel location in Aoyama is wonderful, and so many things are within walking distance. Great restaurants and popular bars are on site at the hotel. Also the hotel is easily connected to street level which is not always the case in Tokyo. Thank you so much Aoyama Grand.

We had a fabulous time at Aoyama Grand Hotel. The hotel is wonderfully designed and decorated in a mid-century modern style. We had a garden room and really appreciated that we could easily see the beautiful bamboo garden if we liked while still maintaining our privacy thanks to angled slats blocking views from other rooms. The room was spacious and also decorated very tastefully. The details of the room were excellent, including flatware and furniture. We ended up eating at the restaurants here more than I planned to because it was both convenient after long days of sightseeing but also because the food, drinks, and staff were amazing. The views from the top floor restaurant Rossi were particularly great. Of course the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The one minor complaint is that the area of the hotel doesn't have a lot to do so you will usually be on the metro, but that's very easy as the closest station is like a 3 minute ealk. We have stayed at several 5 star hotels around the world and The Aoyama Grand Hotel is in my top 3.

My experience with this hotel is limited, but I feel it’s important to share that the service leading up to our stay was deeply upsetting. Two days before our booking, we faced a sudden medical emergency while returning to Tokyo to fly home. In the urgency of the situation, we accidentally booked a non-refundable room. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and we were advised by a doctor to return home immediately. We provided the hotel with a doctor’s note and reached out to see if any accommodation could be made. The hotel declined and offered no support. When we contacted Booking.com, they confirmed that the hotel had the ability to make exceptions, yet they still refused. For a property recognized by the Michelin Guide, I expected more compassion and flexibility. While our situation was unique, it revealed that the hotel lacks empathy and is unwilling to assist guests in extraordinary circumstances.
