It looks okay for the outside you can tell they are trying to hide its age. The pool you have to walk a ways. It's more a lap pool then a play and have some drinks by. They have locker rooms you can change in. Again the pool is showing some age. You have to wear a swim cap in the pool cost 2.50 euro. Not something I seen in America but must be a thing here. Towels are provided at the pool. The breakfast buffet was the best part. We drove down to the pier and got food and ice cream. For the price I was not disappointed. Bar in the hotel was nice. Dog friendly hotel. Staff was amazing and up the hotel experience.
Spent €1k on a double room for 5 nights. Decor is out of the 70s. Smells a bit like the 70s too. Restaurant also overpriced for low to middle quality food. So were the drinks - and forget about ‘service with a smile’ - but I guess they must invest in their staff like they do in the presentation of this place - overworked and underpaid. Got a refund for the breakfasts and dinners we paid for so we could dine elsewhere during the course of our stay. And that wasn’t very convenient as the location is in the middle of nowhere
My friends and I had the (non)pleasure of dining in this hotel as part of a wedding reception. Since we stepped in to the hotel realised there is a serious problem with health and cleaning. We got served appetisers in the hall with small plates which were all dirty. The mug for tea and coffee were also dirty, I had to feel each one of them to make sure I wouldn’t get a dirty one. Some plates and mugs were stained with old food and some were very scratchy as there were not washed properly. Unfortunately once we sat down for dinner it only got worse. We found two full wine glasses sitting underneath our table still half full, together with a napkin, and a knife. Clearly the staff didn’t clean the room properly, very concerning especially since we had a toddler sitting at our table. We found several glasses with lipstick marks which we had a send back and plates and cutlery dirty again with old food scraps or still greasy and scratchy. Nothing was cleaned properly, I don’t understand how this was even possible considering this was a wedding event which costs a lot of money. We sent back plates with soups that came right out the kitchen as the bowls were disgusting. After that they changed our bowl for clean ones. I understand that sometimes not everything gets cleaned properly, or the dishwasher can have problems but this wasn’t just one incident. Very disappointing for a “4 star hotel” lacking of basic hygiene and safety. I will never go back there ever again.
