The Artists' Palace Florence

Feels like you’re in an old Italian movie. Not the cheapest hotel, but worth it for the location, views and interiors. The library bar and artists balcony are absolutely beautiful. Getting ready to go out for dinner with the window open and listening to live music outside was the dream!

Honestly, out of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed at this will always be the one I remember. All the staff are lovely and truly made my trip. I was a solo traveller and whether it was the kind ladies at reception making sure I was okay, to Vitorio in the bar telling me about his adventures or Dominico being the kindest hotel manager I’ve ever met this place was something out of a film. When I walked into my room, I was gobsmacked thinking “how am I here”, the room had the most beautiful views even when brushing my teeth. All the staff were so welcoming and kind it was clear that they loved the building and their jobs, as someone who works with the general public each day it is amazing to see people who genuinely care about their guests and making their experience special. If you do visit, I recommend asking Vitorio about his flavoured Pisco and trying at least one of each, this will be a hotel I will always remember and has definitely become my go to when I travel to Florence. The location is fantastic and is right in the heart of Florence but luckily not near the taxi rank to hear everyone in the early morning getting home from a good night.

We stayed here 4 nights in summer. The location is excellent. 10mins from the station and an easy walk to the hotspots, restaurants and cafes. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
