Had a good stay at the Ascott. Rooms are clean and facilities were really good. Im very surprised by the value for money of this lovely hotel. The staff were very very friendly. I had a very good stay. Only negative I would say is the parking at the back being very tight. It took me a while to get out but I did park in the front after that and had no issues at all. Overall lovely stay.

Love the traditional feel of this lovely boutique hotel. Far removed from from the souless hell hole of a travel lodge (other hell holes are available!) you can stay here and actually stay somewhere that has a rich history. You get a key (not a faulty key card or fob) and the rooms are beautifully decorated with a very generous bathroom. The breakfast was fast and very good indeed. The only thing I could quibble on is the lack of parking space when I arrived but it was late on. Location is perfect for both footy grounds and Trafford centre. I will return soon 👌

Absolutely terrible experience. I arrived at 9:15 PM with a confirmed booking, only to be refused entry by the staff who claimed check-in closed at 9:00 PM — something that was never clearly communicated when I booked. Most hotels allow check-in well into the evening, so this was completely unexpected. The staff were shockingly rude and unprofessional — they wouldn't listen, refused to help, and even shut the door in my face. After a long day of travel, this was humiliating and unacceptable. I contacted Agoda immediately but couldn’t get support because the booking was made using an Apple private relay email. I had to book another hotel last-minute myself, which cost me extra and caused a lot of stress. For a hotel that claims to be 4-star, this was a disgraceful level of service. I will never return and strongly advise others to stay away..
